Join us as we visit the historic hilltop of village of Llangynwyd. As this walk meanders through some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable, it offers a huge variety of discussion topics. Historically, everything from the Bronze Age to the coal boom of the Industrial Revolution. With a bit of Arthurian legend and romantic Welsh folklore thrown in for good measure. We also take in the ’Bodvoc Stone’. The memorial of an ancient Welsh Chieftain and the ‘Cadair Edward’ stone, commemorating another great local legend concerning the medieval English king Edward II. Finishing up at the Old House Inn, one of Wales’ oldest and most charismatic pubs for a spot of lunch and a couple of jars.
